No service, tried removing sim, tried resetting network setting! Tried everying

Had no signal all day! Litrally tried everything- removed sim, reset network settings, turned phone off! Can anyone suggest anything else??

Are the carrier settings available on the phone.  Go to settings and see if you can see carrier, if it's there go into it and turn off automatic and do a manual search, if it finds networks click on one other than EE and wait then put it back in to auto mode.  If you can't find carrier settings try plugging it into a PC with iTunes and see if a carrier update is available.  Failing that a restore from an earlier iCloud back up.
