My iPhone 7 won't charge and now the battery has died I can't turn it on.

My iPhone wouldn't charge tonight.  The battery is now empty so can't turn it back on.  I've tried hard restart, plugging into my computer fot iTunes and the charging cable is an original apple product and in good working order. Can anyone help?

@Kirstie75  With the device definitely off get a pin/cocktail stick and carefully clean out the charging port on the device.   You’ve probably got a lot of fluff built up in there so it stops the contact to  charge the device.

I'd try a proper USB wall charger as well. If the battery is flat, a computer may not be providing enough power to get it going. Worth trying a new cable too.

Hi @Kirstie75

Thank you for coming here to community 🙂

Please take a look at the If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won‘t charge apple help and support page.

I hope you manage to get some power into your iPhone.

Cheers
