I think I have been given a refurbished phone

The box wasn't unsealed in fron of me, there were no film covers on front or back, and I have found some stored numbers on the phone in settings.  I have taken a further 24 month contract  and didn't agree to a pre owned or refurbished phone.  Can the store do this?

@heather_bower@The IMEI number will be registered with EE.

How would I check that, and wouldn't it be transferred to me now

Hi @heather_bower

Welcome to the community.

That sounds very unusual.

What kind of phone is it? Was it an EE store that you took the contract out in?

Yes it was an EE store, and my phone is iPhone 6S, they did transfer my data from previous iPhone but this particular function in settings I hadn't used before on my old phone and on the 6S, there are some stored numbers already, which led me to thinking it may have been used by someone previously

Re: I think I have been given a refurbished phone

OK thanks @heather_bower

I recommend popping back into the EE store to discuss this with the store manager.

They will be able to look into this and find a resolution for you.

Please let us know what happens.

Thank you

Chris
