@Flek Did you enable roaming on your account before you left the UK ?
Are you on a Max plan that includes roaming in the US ?

Please try the troubleshooting below to try and find a connection:-
Try re-booting your device
Try turning 4G off in ‘settings’
Perform a manual network search and select a different US network operator:-

Well I’ve been traveling all over Europe this summer and never had a problem. Then changed my tariff for one that included the USA so I’m sure data roaming must be on

When roaming in the USA, you can use either AT&T or T-Mobile.
AT&T is often very temperamental now in many US cities. T-Mobile is usually the best network to roam with.
If you still cannot get any signal you will need to online chat with EE and ask them to make sure roaming is enabled on your account.
