The 'we' that was referred to sounded like EE had sold 1,000,000 watches, of which 3,000 were experiencing issues.

Just turned all the WiFi & Phone off again, I now have 1 green dot of LTE!

Is the iPhone turned on?

 

Does the Apple Watch have signal showing and are you able to make calls?

 

You can’t send or receive texts or receive voicemail notifications on the Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS+4G) when the paired iPhone is turned off or out of network coverage.

 

It’s only iMessages that would work.

Well I received a PM from Leanne (Thankyou). Then a call back from Kayleigh as promised (Thankyou).

 

So EE have taken advice and started to proactively engage with those having issues. That is what good CS is all about. Took a while to figure that out. Let's hope it is maintained until we all have our watches working as they should.

 

Unfortunately, my 012 error is still unresolved and now being escalated to the Design team as a priority. Going to desgn team feels like its going to take a while to resolve. No timeframe given.

 

I bought my watch from Apple, and ported to EE a couple of weeks ago. Apparently my watch plan is blocked by 2 other uncompleted watch plans - must have been all that pairing, unpairing I was advised to do with the original 012 error.

 

Thanks to whoever finally thought that being proactive  is a much professional way to engage with customers rather than keeping silient, broken promises etc. A step in the right direction.

So close but yet so far. 

 

I had a call back after 3 hours as promised, went through the pairing process after leaving the watch off for 3 hours and still I get the 019 error. I did this on both 4G while on the phone with EE and also wifi. Both times I got the error.

 

So now it's being escalated directly to the Device team apparently, rather than putting be back in the queue with them. In the meantime I have been told once again to unpair the watch. 

 

I know you're trying to fix this but I am so close to giving up now and taking this back to Apple.

Basically if the phone is connected & the watch has a connection, even if it's not bluetooth or on the same WiFi it still does most stuff.

Thx  for that working now been away from house all seems ok at minute will keep you guys posted had the esim reinstated after an 019 error unpaired and re paired after 2 hours

@andysummers12 I know it’s been a royal pain in the ass, but please stick with it. Just keep at them until they sort out the esim problem at their end, then unpair again and wait. Since last night, mine has been working a treat. You’ll get there.

on iphone, go into settings/messages and click on Send & Receive

Click on where it says your Apple ID at the top

 

After a minute or so you get a notification about using you iPhone for imessages

Then after that, you’ll get another one regarding your Apple Watch. 

 

You our should be ok to send after that.
