Hi, I have recently joined EE and ported a number across from O2 onto a new iPhone XS. I want to swap this existing line from a physical to an esim. I have followed the link to order an esim. Anyone know which option to go for please,I’m probably being dim but don’t want to hit the wrong one and end up with a new line...... thanks.
Tried to post a pic of the options, can’t get that to work.... choices on the webpage are:
“Why do you require a new esim”
1. New esim handset
2. Replacement esim
3. Existing esim device sim swap
All mean roughly the same thing to my simple mind. Thanks

Welcome to the community and thanks for joining EE. 🙂
As you haven't had an eSIM with us before, you'll need to contact our sales team or pop into your nearest EE store. They'll be able to move your number over from the physical SIM to an eSIM.

Thanks for your help here Chris. So just to clarify, I can’t self serve via the link I’ve used in ‘my EE’, which presents the options I listed in my first post. I need to call 150 or go to an EE store? Which option should I aim for on 150?

Thanks, sorted in store after some discussion and guidance. It was a new store assistant that didn't know what to do.... Now have my personal 'EE' line on an esim and my work sim in the physical slot (other network). Seems to work well so far thankfully, moving away from 2 handsets was my main goal.
I now have an issue with receiving SMS from banks etc. Not sure if its since porting or since swapping across to the esim. It's definitely time consuming swapping networks. Initially after porting my voicemail didn't work. Called 150, tech support did a network services 'refresh' at the EE side to get that going. Last time I ported (to o2 about 3 years ago) it was plain sailing. It is getting a little frustrating that it needs so much intervention.

I’m in the US a lot and want to use the Verizon US number.
To repeat; can you switch the default between the eSIM and the physical SIM?

Is there an eSIM issue with iOS 13?
Since switching from my XS Max to 11 Pro Max, the data connection has barely been working. I show as having full signal strength but data does not work at all. I need to switch airplane mode on and off for a few minutes to get data to work again.
I've even had the handset replaced but the issue continues.

I certainly am.
However it's been an issue specifically with the iPhone 11 Pro Max.
Worked just fine on the iOS 13 beta on my XS Max.

I have seen a number of posts about signal issues with the Pro Max. Might be worth another swap if you can. If it's happening all the time, go back to a physical SIM for a short time and prove that either the fault follows the SIM or it is the eSIM?

I have just bought an iPhone 11 on contract with EE for dual sim.
I already have a US iPhone 6 on contract with Metro PCS.....
Am I right in thinking there is no way I can use dual sim for the next 6 months, only two EE sims?
To say I feel mislead is an understatement. The whole point of this was to switch my UK contract to EE and have my US sim in the same phone.

I'm a British ex-pat living abroad. I have a physical SIM card for the country I live in but I need an eSIM card with a UK number so I can receive text messages etc from my bank. Can I just purchase an eSIM from EE?
