@Nicky4milo is his/her/their contract in your name? Is it on your MyEE account? If yes to these two then yes you can cancel it, but you will be liable to any early termination fees if such would apply. You'd have to give 30 days closure notice to EE, too.

To add to @Profile closed comments. If the contract is in your EX name and you just pay it, then cancel your DD, they will then have to pick up the problem.

Hi, another option if the account is in your name is to just get a replacement SIM and use it yourself if it's still in contract and you don't want to waste it. You could pay EE to give you a new number, or PAC a PAYG number in from another network fairly cheaply too.
