Good Evening All & Happy New Year (2019).
I Hope You Have All Enjoyed The Festive Period & Celebrations?
So.. Today Is My Last Day To Apply & Purchase AppleCare+ To My XR. I’m Currently Weighing Up The Pros & Cons Of Things To Come.. But Rapidly Running Out Of Time To Decide!!
I’ve Applied AppleCare+ To My Series 4 Watch Since EE Do Not Currently Offer Cover For Apple Watches (Damage Nor Full Cover)!! Can’t Afford To Take Such Risks On This Device.
I’ve Not Had Any Problems W/ My iPhones Over The Years But This Latest Model Is Close To £1k Price Mark And I’m Not Intrested In A Refurbished XR Via EE If The Worst Should Happen To My Phone.
AppleCare Is £149 For 2 Years W/ (Two Accident Claims) And I Can Refund/Transfer This Amount On To A Newer Model If I Decide To Buy Or Upgrade.
Is It Worth The Peace Of Mind? Apple Will Treat This Model & Repairs As OUT OF WARRANTY After 60days Of Owning A Product.. (Unboxed Or Not)!
During A Recent Visit To The Apple Store, I Overheard A Coversation That The iPhone X/XR Cost £600+ To Fix W/O AppleCare Depending On Your Model.
What Are Your Thoughts On This One EE Community Hub?

It's worth taking out the care. Can you afford the repair or replacement if it breaks without the Apple care?

£600 to fix what ?
here’s the Apple price list as you can see the Xr is £400 for other damage and is quite a bit cheaper than the X or even the Xs
if you scroll down on that page you’ll see the charges with a Apple care also
