I was originally on a sim only contract with EE with a Moto G4 that takes a micro sim. Upgraded earlier this week via Carphone Warehouse to a EE phone contract. New phone is a P10 lite which takes a nano sim.
Put the new sim in but I have a different number and can't send texts at present. Do I need to do anything or should I just be patient!?

If you upgrade your phone through Carphonewharehouse you need to call them 0800 049 6248 on this number ask them why your number not transfer over as you told it's nearly a week now.
So they can help you out.

Only received phone yesterday afternoon and if I log into my ee account here all the upgrade details are correct. Don't know if my old number takes a while to transfer across to my new sim? Needed to change from micro to nano.

Hi Leanne. Did it online. That's okay, don't mind waiting. Always had the same sized sim in the past so haven't had to do a swap with previous upgrades.
Do you know if porting can take place over a weekend or is it just Monday-Friday thing?

Porting from another network does not go through on a weekend.
As this is an upgrade and with us already this is different 🙂
It may be worth giving them a call to see when they have put the SIM activation through for.
Save you taking two phones out and about 🙂
