@ANDY27  Have you tried a different set of headphones on the device?  have you made sure there is nothing in the socket on the device?  Turn the device off and use a pin to make sure there is no junk in the hole.   If the headphones do not work still and your device is in warranty you could go to a EE store for them to send the device away to Somy to be looked at but it’s much quicker if you do this yourself.

thanks for your help i tried two more headphones and they still dont work and the socket is also clear of any obstuctions thanks again ANDY

Thanks for trying this.

 

As @Chris_B suggested, sending the phone to Sony to get it looked at would be the best way to get this resolved.

 

This can be done in an EE Store, and they will be able to lend you a phone as part of the mend and lend process.
