can' t phone out or in with new phone

Hi getting frustrated 

gone through the settings etc and unable to phone out  (not registered on network)

any ideas

Manually search mobile networks & choose EE.

@Growler55  is this a upgrade or are you a new customer?

 You have to allow up to 24 hours for a number migration/ sim activation.  Try restarting the device a few times.

all contacts and e mail have sync,d no problems cannot use phone side of things?
