backlog on the Note 10 plus?

Ordered my Note 10 plus last wednesday where the salesman told me that the phone would be next day delivery to the EE store. Skip nearly a week and my order still hasnt even been confirmed? 


What is the hold up? I have heard there is a backlog due to not enough devices being sent to EE? if so, how long will it take to get up to date? How long am I looking to wait for my new device? Will their be some sort of compensation for having to wait for so long after being told it would be next day delivery?
