Why does my phone switch off when the battery reaches 30%?

My phone is about 18 months old and has started to turn itsself of when the battery reaches 30%. The battery also seems to drain quite quickly. I bought a new battery but it is doing the same. Can anyone help?

Hi @Sarah69

What phone do you have?

Google Pixel phones used to have this problem. Google used to replace them as it was a motherboard issue.

Thanks

Hi @Sarah69,

Welcome back to the community.

Have you checked to see if there are any software updates available for your phone?

Do your battery settings show if it's a particular app draining your battery?

Thanks

I did a factory reset on my phone and battery is slightly better. Still turns off at around 25-30%.
