VAT at 20%

I had a Samsung S8 AU Max 40GB contract for £62.99. After the 10% discount it was reduced to £56.11.

However, every month for the the past two years, EE has added on 20% VAT charges. When I bought the phone the store personnel told me I only had to pay the discounted price. I've been paying a total of over £65 every month. Is EE overcharging me?

Thank You.

Re: VAT at 20%

@Shajeevan  You pay vat on all bills.  Look at your account and look at how the bill is broken down.   Also look at your account and look at plan and add-one and see if the 10% discount is on there.

Re: VAT at 20%

Morning @Shajeevan

Thanks for coming back to the community 🙂

Is the 10% discount showing in your My EE account?

VAT is already included in the price of your plan.

The breakdown of charges on your phone bill are shown without VAT. The VAT charge is then calculated under VAT on the first page of your monthly phone bill, don't worry, you aren't being charged extra.
