how have I managed to use 292 mb of 300 mb within 3 days

Have you:

  • Restricted background apps under Mobile Data?
  • Only do Software Updates over WiFi under My Device?

Just go into Settings>Data Usage

Scroll down to see what apps have used data

 

This will give you an idea on the hungry ones
