Update available

I keep getting a notification on my galaxy s7 edge that an update is available, I am guessing it's the August security update but when I go to setting and check for updates it say phone is up to date. I have tried tapping notification to get update as well but still says up to date!! 

Has anybody else had experience of this? 

Phone is running July security update at present.

Might be too many people going to download it at once.

 

Have you plugged it into your PC and used Smart Switch. This should bypass all that.

@BrendonH I don't have a PC! I have been getting the notifications every 2-3 days for last couple of weeks, different times of day, so I don't think lots of people downloading it at same it is viable option!!

OK then put your phone into recovery mode and clear the cache

Did full hard reset this morning.... Notification came up again at 4pm this afternoon 🙁

You have the most recent firmware installed with the most recent security patch. (According to Sammobile who is always very reliable)

 

So they have not released the August patch to you yet.

 

This device on EE last updated on 31/7/17.

 

So you have another issue of it notifying you of an update that isn't actually there.

Sure it's not play store or Samsung telling you some apps need updating?

I can believe that its stating the phone update as it did happen to me once on my S8+ but then it updated a couple days later so I put it down to servers being busy.
