Underground WiFi authentication issues

Hi,

I recently purchased a PAYG SIM (on its own) in order to be able to use WiFi on Underground platforms but I've been having issues with authenticating myself. My phone is OnePlus 3T running Android 8.0.0.

I try and connect to EE Auto-WiFi and select EAP and SIM in settings. The only error message I receive is authentication error. I've ensured that I've topped up my phone in the last 30 days (top up was done over 5 days ago). I ported my old phone number to EE so I assumed that was the issue, but it's been over 5 days since that happened.

I also wanted clarification regarding the following: "You can get it if you’re on pay as you go too, as long as you’ve topped up your account with at least £5 within the last 30 days."

Does this also cover using my debit card to automatically purchase packs. Does this count as topping up?

Thank you! 🙂

Re: Underground WiFi authentication issues

Good Morning @frostnova

Welcome to the community 🙂

Have you text EEWIFI to 9527?

Even if you purchase a pack this will count as a 'top up'.

Hope this helps,

Katie
