Transferring an incoming call to an alternative number

Transferring an incoming call to an alternative number.

When trying to set my Samsung A3 to transfer calls when I am out of range of a mobile signal I get the error message - Failed To Read Data, Unexpected Response From Network. How can I overcome this to enable a successful call transfer?

Re: Transferring an incoming call to an alternative number

@southeastsix  There is an issue with enabling the service and this might help you to enable it.

Turn off cellular data and wifi on the device.  Enable call forwarding. If it enables you can then turn on cellular data and wifi again.  You might need to do this to turn off call forwarding also.

Re: Transferring an incoming call to an alternative number

Still not able to get divert calls set up. Messages on my phone now indicate that this service is not available for pay as you go customers. The display now reads-
'Call forwarding. Connection problem or invalid MMI code, Unconditionally for all basic services'.
This function has become important to me so I will have to investigate and consider other providers.

Many thanks for your help

Re: Transferring an incoming call to an alternative number

@southeastsix  Can you please try this. Turn off cellular/mobile data and turn off wifi on the device.  Now try and setup call forwarding and if it works you can then re-enable cellular and wifi on your device, you might need to turn off these two settings again to deactivate call forwarding.  Hopefully this works for you.

Re: Transferring an incoming call to an alternative number

Good morning @southeastsix

Thanks for getting back to us 🙂

It's a shame that the steps are not working to get this resolved for you.

I would now advise either a live chat or speaking to the technical team to get them to look at this for you.

Please let us know what the technical team say.

Cheers

Richard
