To cut a very long story short, I feel I was mis-sold a Huawei P20 instore - The advisor quoted all the specifications of a P20 pro but I ended up with a normal P20. Despite raising this, I was advised that there was no possibility of exchanging my phone as there is no calling off period in store.
I hated the P20 so I recently bought a S9 from a third party but am unable to use wifi calling. Normally this wouldn't be an issue but the signal in my house I appalling (I didn't know this before now).
I believe this is because the phone doesn't have EE firmware installed. Is anyone able to confirm this if I give further info? I currently don't have wifi calling on the phone menus...not even grayed out.
I've spoken with EE customer services many times about the above and the selling practices in store to no avail.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Enter *#1234# and post the three sets of numbers.
If the phone is running UK BTU firmware and you are on a pay monthly/sim only account with EE then VOWIFI should work.
If the firmware is another carrier but unlocked then you wont have this option.

The G960U means that your handset is for the US market so it wont have access to VOWIFI on UK networks. You will be ok in the USA.
Go into settings - about phone - What is the model number. European models should have F after the numbers.

Flashing wont help and will likely brick your phone.
There isn't anything you can do other than buying a European device.
