Text not sending

I'm trying to send a text that is '62/2' characters long, when sending shorter texts the text goes through with no problem. However the 62 character text keeps saying it has failed to send.

Is the text to one particular number or does it happen when trying to send any shorter texts?

 

What phone are you using?

What do you mean by '62/2'? Is it the 2nd part of a long SMS of about 222 chars long?

 

Some phones convert long SMS to MMS for which you will be charged. If you're on PAYG & you don't have sufficient credit, the MMS will not be sent.

Galaxy s6. Perfectly fine to send shorter texts. I've never had this problem before

Does the text contain any sort of image or emoji?

No images or emojis used, and is a problem with more than 1 number.

Is the content of the message always the same?

 

It's strange that it's converting it to 2 texts if it's only 62 characters!

Yes, tried to forward the text on to a friend to see if it would work.

 

Definitely more than 62 characters, but on the side of the screen it says 62/2.

@Karen_C: It's not converting it to 2 texts & it's longer than 160 chars. "nn/2" is what you see when you spill over into a 2nd part after going over 160 chars.

The 62/2 means it's across two texts - one will be 160 characters and the second part is 62 characters.

 

Is it a text that you've written or content that you're trying to forward?

We're going round in circles at the moment. I wrote the text myself.  It is not working to any number. Short texts are working to every number. Do you have a solution to this?

Ah, OK, then it's not that then.

 

Look in your messaging app Settings & see if it's preventing MMS being sent.
