Just as the subject says, a couple days ago I recieved a text message from EE about upgrading my S6 9 months early to an S8. I clicked the link and went through all the questions about if my phone was in good nick. But I reread the text and noticed its a plan on the S8 with 25GB a month and paying £62.99 a month. I'm currently on 4GB a month and I never even get close to using all of that. So I was wondering if the deal is still in place but with a lower Data plan as 25GB a month for me is crazy and is this a question better asked in a shop? Thanks!

Best off calling 15, and seeing what your options are.
The tariff will likely be to pay for the phone.

So, £1511 over two years.
Minus the £687 rrp for the phone.
Makes the tariff about £33 a month over two years. Not too bad.
If you include the early get out, depending on tariff, of circa £250 and selling the phone in 2 years time for around 50% of rrp it makes it an OK deal.

In sure someone could poke holes in my semi drunk man maths. 🙂
On the face of it, £63 a month seems ridiculous. And yes £1500 plus over 2 years is a lot of cash.
But, all things considered, £30 ish pounds for the tariff part is not to bad.
Although these days I tend to buy my handsets out right and get a cheap sim deal. Works out great as I like to change every year or so.
Buying and selling wisely at the right time with the right phone, the past 2 flagships have cost me around £50 - 75 for the year.

Yeah for me personally £63 is ridiculous. Think i'm going to stay with my S6 for as long as the battery holds out and just buy sim deals.
