Text message authenticity

Just received a text message from an unknown number but purporting to be from EE advising that they are having problems processing my monthly payment and asking me to update my account details to avoid unnecessary charges. There is a website link to a HTTPS website. Am I missing something but my monthly payment is not due for a few more days, there is no indication when I access my EE account that there are problems and the text message is from a number not the usual named source. Is this s scam to get my bank account details?

Re: Text message authenticity

@Yorkiebar1   It’s a scam do not use the link in that message.  You can report it to EE by forwarding the message to 7726 (SPAM)

EE and other companies would never send you a link to login to your account.
