A little more detail would help myself and the proper community team help you!

 

Which phone do you have? I'm guessing it'll be PAYG but when did you get the SIM Card? How did you top up? Was the SIM inactive for 6 months+ prior to this top up?

 

Depending on the proximity, it may be worth taking your phone to an EE shop as they can check if the SIM is active.
