Re: Samsung s8 screen fault

Hi @djasja

Your screen or motherboard is damaged. Have you dropped the phone or allowed it to get excessively wet?

Your phone should still be under warranty, so you can either contact Samsung direct here or take your phone into EE and they will send it off for assessment.

Thanks

Hi @djasja

Where did you get the phone from and what was the date?

Did you speak to our technical support team?

Re: Samsung s8 screen fault

I notice there's no edge screen handle in your photo. It might mean that somehow the handle has been set to maximum height and green colour. So worth checking the settings.

Of course, it's also possible the fault covers up the edge screen, but still worth spending a minute checking.

How do I check that? Been a iPhone guy for 10 years and just got a Samsung. Like you say worth checking

Re: Samsung s8 screen fault

Hi there @djasja

If you can go into Settings > Search for Screen Mode > Then Screen Edge Colour

Adjust the colour slider to the preferred setting, then select Apply and OK.

Let us know how you get on.

Leanne.

On Oreo its

Settings>Display>Edge Screen>Edge Panels>Three Dots (In top right)>Edge Panel Handle

to check the size and transparency.
