I have contacted ee over twitter and they haven't a clue when the update will be released. I've been checking my phone daily for a month as they suggested.
This nougat delay is ridiculous, I wonder what is the point of having the latest phone (s7 edge) if its running on out of date software.
If ee keep this up in the future i'll get my next contract with another company as they can't even let us the customers know what exactly the problem is.
ee haven't a clue whats going on, just be honest! the s8 will be out before the s7 gets nougat how awful is that.
not a happy customer, paying premium when not receiving a premium service!

As you will see from the android forum there are many threads on this topic.
EE need to test firmware to ensure it meets the network requirements and that the additional services EE have integrated into this firmware work without problems. This takes time and unlike BTU firmware EE firmware is specific to EE network/handsets so need to be tested. Once any update is available your phone will let you know.
As for the current firmware there is nothing wrong with this firmware and it works as expected however alternatively you can:
As I say your phone will let you know when the update is ready.
