S6 edge + fingerprint sensor

My S6 edge + updates to Nougat yesterday. Now the fingerprint sensor does not work. It just kept saying wipe the sensor etc. Removed all the registered fingerprints and it now wont let me add any new ones giving the same error message. Any ideas on whats gone wrong here and hiw to solve it?

Hi, 

 

You should factory reset your phone. The upgrade from 6 to 7 is a major upgrade.

Done that still no different. Backed everything up now missing all my emails. Due an upgrade soon but my wife takes my old phones and I'm sure she would want the fingerprint to work.

I would recommend having this looked at via a repair centre, this should be a free repair if the device is still within it 24 month warranty.

 

Please either pop into your local Samsung support centre or do pop over to our EE repair guide.
