I have a pixel 3 around 2 weeks old. The version is stuck on November 2018. It will not update it just sticks on installing update - I have even left it running over night. (connected to wifi) I have tried the following
1.Returning the phone for replacement - same problem
2.Factory reset same problem
2.Partner has 3a on O2 which has updated
Therefore my thoughts are that somehow my phone being on EE is the problem - do I need to register it with EE for updates or do EE need to do something.
totally baffled ??

You could try booting the device into safe mode and then leaving the device connected to WiFi? Unless you have tried this already, alongside the factory reset you performed earlier.
What about trying to update the handset without the SIM card in the device and no user accounts attached to the device, straight after the factory reset?

Being a pixel the update doesnt come through EE. It will be Google tou need to contact.
They dont let networks interfere with their own handsets unlike other Androids.

not sure as other pixel in same household but different provider update just fine. It is though my device is blocked for updates - or not registered for updates ?

Having trouble contacting customer care - there doesn't appear to be an email link - the chat is currently unavailable - and the telephone just places me in a queue !

@kingrollo All pixel updates come directly from google no operator is involved. Google have taken the same steps as Apple and push out their own software for their devices and networks do not get involved.

Out of interest and see if it is true.
Swap the sims in those devices so the non EE is in your pixel.
If it updates then EE are blocking it.
If it doesnt then there is an issue with your device finding the update.

How techy are you? Do you feel confident enough to download the image and flash it yourself?
