Orange tahiti sim card possible unlock

Hello community,  today i learnt that becuase i had not used my rarely used orange handset with orange sim, that ee sims will not work with it and it has to be unlocked which bring me onto my main question.

I've bought a used Orange Tahiti tablet (its a Huawei Mediapad actually) and was plannning to use the above Orange Sim in it and buy some data, becuase of the forementioned issue when I try my new EE sim in the tablet it doesn't connect to the network.

My question is therefore who can unlock this tablet for me so i can use the EE sim please, is it Orange (EE, same company?)  If this isn't possible perhaps I could somehow get hold of an Orange 3G sim but where would i get one of those these days?  Hoping the tablet is not defunct.  Help appreciated. Thanks

Just follow the link for unlocking a second hand device.

Hope this helps.

Re: Orange tahiti sim card possible unlock

To unlock a 2nd-hand device you need to call Customer Services on 0800 956 6000 (option 2, option 4) to put you in touch with the Unlocking Team to request an Unlock Code. You will be asked for your email addy. They will take payment (of £8.99) from any valid UK bank card.

Once the process has been started you will receive an email from the Unlocking Team to process the unlock. It can take up to 10 days to complete the unlock.

But even so beware that EE could still refuse to unlock it. Many devices sold 2nd-hand have been reported lost or stolen, have been sold by the original owner when under 6 months old without EE's permission or have money owing on them.

If that is the case your only remedy is against whoever you got the phone from.
