Have also searched networks and they are listed as unavailable. Did network reset, didn't help even with restart.Have restarted many times, no difference. In San Francisco if that matters.

Exactly the same, did a little googling, an articl posted in UK media yesterday was saying that some customers are having blocks put on their accounts whilst roaming in the EU due to failing credit checks after something to do with brexit, currently trying to get through to live chat to see if its affecting us out here in SF too, i arrived 2 days ago, had one day working fine on my new 4GEE Max plan and all of a sudden, nothing.

I can't text 150 as no phone service. But I have internet. Surely there is still a way to chat for help? Am abroad as well so no way to call help number. Would like to chat on ways to restore phone service.

Welcome to the EE Community @Hello3
Our customer services team will be able to help remove the international bars.
I recommend logging into your My EE account on your phone's browser (not the app) or a computer.
Once you're logged in, a chat window will pop up when an advisor is available.
If you can't get in contact with chat, please get in touch from an alternative phone.
Enjoy the rest of your trip

hey, temporary fix but go to settings > carrier > then de-select automatic and once the lists of networks loads select T-mobile, seems to be an issue with AT&T at the moment!

That worked!! Thanks so much! Even though the network said it was unavailable, I got on.
I don't have a lot of signal bars but much better than the empty triangle.
