No connection in France

It's a new PAYG sim in a samsung s9.

My phone connects to a network in France but I cannot make calls, send texts or data transfer. I can however receive texts from EE. Roaming is switched on. Any ideas?

Did you activate the SIM card in the UK? 


EE SIM cards are designed for the UK network, although you can roam.



To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 07953 966 250 from any other phone.

EE standard opening hours are 8am to 9pm weekday, 8am to 8pm on weekends.

Welcome to the community.


You have to register a SIM and use it to make a call or send a text before you go abroad for it to work.


We can't guarantee that a SIM not used in the UK, on the EE network, will work abroad on a roaming network.
