My samsung S8 has stopped using WiFi direct since the recent upgrade

Since the recent software upgrade my phone says there is no coverage, wbich is true, but it has stopped using the wifi for calls or texts.  The wifi is working fine.

Hi @Malxx Go into phone then settings three dots at the top right and make sure WiFi calling is switched on

Been through all the standard phone solutions.  EE tech support say it is a Samsung software upgrade (a patch) is causing the problem.. EE tec to liaise withe Samsung.  Getting back to me in 2 days.  Hmmmmm we'll see.

@Malxx are you using an EE device or was it sim free or from elsewhere?
