My new sim hasn't activated yet

I upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy 8 from the Samsung Galaxy 5, so have a new sim. I activated it as per the instructions and it's still not activated? I really need to be able to use my phone. Any help would be really appreciated.

Hello @Lisa17 SIM swaps can take up to 24hrs to complete but are usually quicker. Do either of the SIM cards receive signal at the moment? Keeping the old SIM card switched off and restarting the phone with the new SIM card now and again can help. 🙂
