My Samsung J3 will not connect to my Virgin hub 3 any more?!

I have reset the hub to factory settings, and all other devices have connected.  I have checked all the phone settings using advice on various forums and the ee shop told me that i'd done everything possible and advised me to have the phone sent away for repair. Would it be advisable to reset my phone and try that first?

@Desertflower yes I would try hard reset of phone.... Make sure everything is backed up and you no all email address and passwords used on device.

Just done a factory reset and lo and behold I finally have wi fi. Thank you for your confirmation and making me do that rather than sending it off!
