My EE Harrier Tab won’t turn on.

It won’t turn on. It has been charging for an hour or so. Rarely use it but I thought I would start to use it more as I have it. Of course it has no battery so plugged it in. An hour later it’s still not turning on, just a red flashing light. Help?

Hi @MatthewKing10

Welcome to the community. 🙂

Could you try holding the power key for 15 seconds?

Thanks

Hi @MatthewKing10,

Have you left the phone on charge for an extended period?

If it hasn't been used for a while it may need to be charged for a few hours.

Thanks

James

Yeah I left it on charge overnight last night and nothing. I’ve thought it might by the plug so it’s no plugged in somewhere else in the house. Just a red flashing light still

Hi @MatthewKing10

Could I try to get you to place the phone in recovery mode:

To get into recovery mode on the harrier hold down the volume up and down keys for 10-15 seconds, then hold down the power button, let it vibrate for about 5 seconds then let go.  The phone will now turn off.

After this hold down the Volume down key for 10 seconds, then hold down the power button until it vibrates briefly.  The phone will then go into recovery.

Let me know if this helps,

Lee

I got it working! But I have a new problem. It won’t recognise the SIM card 🤔🤔
