Mate 20 Pro screen issue

Hi

 

Anyone else seeing the screen issue below. Brightness turned down and on dark grey backgrounds green edging appears to be getting worse :(. Appears to be dodgy hardware others have reported elsewhere.20181030_215507.jpg

i've seen on forum a number of users are experiencing this problem, so could be a faulty batch that got through as these things can happy.

 

if you've only just got it, then suggest you request a replacement device (you can do this in the first 28 days at least)

 

problem you got is that stock is limited so could be waiting a while for it to be replaced

Noticed the same issue with my Mate 20 Pro last night. Bought it direct from EE. Very noticable in low light with grey background. It's not a deal breaker but very disappointing. My concern is that it will get worse over time.

BOE and LG supply screens for the Mate 20 Pro. Seems like it is only the LG ones that are affected. Lots of cases popping up online. If I replace it what's to say I won't get a defective LG one again 😕

been a few issues with LG screens on other devices, you could get it replaced and see what happens, especially while you have the chance to do this

LG screens have been failing drastically lately, whether the mate20 pro or the pixel3xl.

 

both are "oled" panels. 

 

maybe because LG is having to spam these screens to keep up with all of the different smartphones that use them, their QA is letting these faulty ones through.

From what I understand the Pixel 3 is LG screen and the XL is the Samsung screen.

On my 2nd phone and the issue is slowly rearing its head again. Can't believe these phones are still being shipped in there current form. I am past my 14 day period and now have to call back for another replacement... Getting really annoyed at how this is being dealt with by Huawei. What's saying the next device won't be faulty

I have this Issue, mine is an LG screen.

 

Its not always there on mine, just after being on charge whilst its still warm is the worst time. and you notice it far more in dark situations with dark backgrounds on the screen.

 

I ordered a replacement via the helpdesk this morning.

 

I hope its replacement is not an LG one, becuase if it is it is being booked in staright away again.

 

I love this phone, just a bit miffed with having to do this....

 

Anyone from EE on here should be making management aware of this situation... they should be refusing the LG models from Huawei!

My replacement phone had now started going green. Hopefully the next one will be a BOE screen.
