Jay Tablet Won't Boot

Hi I have a Jay ee tablet on contract I've only used it a handful of times.  Plugged it in to charge, when I went to turn on it just showing ee boot logo, then screen goes black.

To turn it off I have to press power button and vol it makes a sound then goes of.  Screen is black the whole time.

 

Please advice.

Leave it on charge for about an hour.

 

It may kick back to play.

@BrendonH Did as you suggested plugging the tablet in. After 1 hour pressed power button it went on no problem.

Then more or less after it loaded the screen went black, it was still on as I could hear my notifications going off.

 

@Richard_C I tried the following: -

 

I then had to plug it in again as all I got was black screen, before I powered up again (after another hour) I took out sd card........ same thing happened.

 

Plugged it in as before this time before I powered on I took out the Sim Card.

 

The tablet has been working great since removing Sim Card, I'm going to have EE replace the Sim as that is what I think the problem is.

It is very strange that the SIM is causing no power to the device.

@Lee_H I never said the Sim was causing no power.  It was nothing to do with power. It was the screen going black and not been able to restart it or do anything on it.

My apologies, I have read this post wrong as I am also dealing with a device that won't power up.

Very weird a sim card would cause the screen to go blank.

 

Do you have another sim you could test it with?
