January security

What security patch are peoples galaxy 8plus running? Mine is running November.... It's February tomorrow! My S7 edge was running January update before I upgraded to 8plus. I would have thought EE would have issued at least December update for 8plus, seeing as it's the flagship phone at the moment..... Or are they just waiting on Oreo to release with next security patch?

Re: January security

@Lee_H I fully understand the way roll outs work but I am just confused over the fact that a 2+ year old phone can have a newer security patch over a newer hand set.

Its the generic UK Samsung firmware, so free from bloat you get with the carrier firmware.
