Just recieved new upgrade on Friday. Tried to register details with my bank for insurance purposes. They require the IMEI to be registered with then to insure the phone.
Only problem is my phones IMEI number is not recognised. I've tried this on other sites too and it's not a know IMEI number. Spoke to EE advisor and she said best they can do is send out a proof of purchase letter. But I need the IMEI to be working in case my phones ever stolen so it can be wiped.
Anyone had this problem before and know how to solve it?

@Frenchie-Lad It’s probably because it’s only just been registered to the EE network and hasn’t filtered through any systems yet. It will always get blocked if you give EE the EMEI number.

Is your bank insurance underwritten by "lifestyle group"?
If so they are utter rubbish and it's likely their system. Give them a call and register your phone.

Hi guys.. thanks for the response.
Yes.. it is through Lifestyle Services.. lol. It wont register online. Ill give them a phone and see what they say.
Why are they rubbish? Thankfully never had to use phone insurance all the years Ive had it.

Well.. phoned insurance company and they noted down the IMEI number into my file even though they cant find it on their system. Ha. Trust that will do if I even need to use the insurance.
