Hello. I have a samsung s7 edge but there is no Wi-Fi calling option. I checked the software and it shows 7.0. And this is the latest update I can get as I click on latest update and it says this is the latest.
My understanding is there is a 7.0.1. How do I get this so I can have Wi-Fi calling?
Please can someone advise?

Where did you get the phone as WiFi calling is only available to phones running BTU firmware or EE android firmware.
If you don't have the option you don't have this firmware. Enter *#1234# and post the three sets of code.

Thanks for your reply. I got this phone through mobilephonesdirect and this is on EE. I was told that I will be able to get Wi-Fi calling. I even called up EE and they confirmed this.
I have entered #1234# and this says invalid code.
I went to the update screen and these 3 codes come up-

mobilephonesdirect source their handsets from the EU so they were incorrect in telling you that this service would be available to you with this handset firmware. If you are a pay monthly customer then you can receive the service but as mentioned it is firmware specific.
The codes you enter indicate an EU handset.
All is not lost, you can install BTU firmware via odin from sams mobile. If you follow the instructions on sams mobile then you should be ok.

I called EE on 150 and they said that even though I got the phone with mobilephonesdirect it can still be used for Wi-Fi calling.
Please can you explain how I can get this with sams mobile you mention?

This article explains how to set up WiFi Calling on the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge.
Just follow the three simple steps below to get started.
1. Connect your phone to WiFi
2. Switch WiFi Calling on
3. Wait for your confirmation message
WiFi calling can take up to 24 hours to activate.
Once you receive your confirmation text message the service will be available for you to use.

I have gone to Wi-Fi set up but there is no option for Wi-Fi calling so I do not know why it how to have this solved
