I have a new nokia6, but can't send or receive texts

 I have a new nokia6, but can't send or receive texts (Error 50). Calls are fine.

What's the problem?!

Make sure the message centre on the phone setting is set to the correct number.

...but where exactly do I find that?

Open up messages. And open settings 

 

Then within there are the option to change the number.

Actually, the menu screen wasn't teriffically intuitive, and the only place I managed to find the message centre number was by 'dialing' *#*#4636#*#* and hitting 'refresh'.

Apparently, though - according to EE Customer Services - Carphone Warehouse hadn't properly registered my sim/phone number, so I'll go back to them today and see what happens!
