How will the recent Huawei sanctions affect people with contracts on EE

I ve heard in the news that Google is removing all of its services from Huawei phones. How will this effect us with contracts that are on Huawei phones

Your phone will not stop working.

 

Google has confirmed that services like Google Play & security from Google Play Protect will keep working on your existing Huawei device. Huawei has also confirmed that existing customers will continue to receive security updates and after sales service. We’ll continue to work closely with Google and Huawei to provide further detail as we receive it.

It's actually 3 months from the 20th May as per the Department of Commerce license.

 

During this time Huawei can maintain existing networks/software throughout their network.

 

19th August is the last day, unless Huawei are removed from the black list or a further license is issued.
