Recently moved from Vodafone back to EE and ported my number across. All was going smoothly until I tried to sign up to Apple Music to take advantage of the 6 months free subscription.
Was going round in circles as kept getting pop ups saying no EE account was found.
A bit of a search revealed that although my number had changed, my phone had kept the temporary EE number that was allocated to the SIM.
As I have a Samsung, I couldn't change the temporary number but I know from previous experience that iPhones allow you to change this.
So, quick visit to local EE shop, explained the situation and v helpful staff, put my SIM into an iPhone, changed the number to my ported number and it worked. Now have Apple Music working on my S8. If anyone else is having the same issue, would recommend that you visit an EE store and get them to do this.

You can either do that or ring EE and ask them to perform a network refresh for you as that will also update your number to your current one on any handset type.

I had an online chat with someone from EE yesterday who had no idea about this issue and said that I should back my phone up and reset it, I did and the temporary number was still there.
This would have saved me a trip into Edinburgh!!
