How long does it take to complete a change of ownership on the contract?

Hi,

 

I have requested to take over ownership of the number I am using  (it was originally taken out by my stepdad). When I spoke to the team I was told that it had successfully been transferred to my name.

 

I've logged in to the account but it is showing that a final payment has been made? Am I doing something wrong or will it sort itself out within a few days?

We spoke to the team at about this time on 7th April. Yeah the final payment is in my stepdad's name.

Have you been able to set up a new My EE account in your name?

 

The payment was this for the full amount for the last bill?

Thanks for coming back to us 🙂

 

Have you confirmed with customer services that the account is in your name for sure?

 

You can do this by getting in touch with the team.

 

When you select EE from the drop down box an option to live chat with a service agent will populate.

 

If they confirm that the account is solely in your name now, they can either help do this for you or if you want to do it yourself then you can buy logging in to MYEE.

 

This information is from our Manage your account settings help pages.

 

How to update the main user settings:

  1. In My EE, select the Device the user is using.
  2. Select the link which shows Manage this device
  3. Select the tab Device usage controls.

Change the main user settings now >

 

If this doesn't work then customer services may need to help you set up a new MYEE account.
