Almost have to find the funny side of this really..
P30 Pro. EE, unlocked device. I have been running 9.0.240 since November. Have been searching for updates almost daily since around December when it became apparent Hauwei had released 10. No luck
So this afternoon, given its unlocked, I put my Mrs Tesco SIM in and wallop, without even rebooting or searching, it installed 9.0.260..then on reboot, wallop not one, not two, but THREE updates of 10.0. I am now on 10.0.186
If anyone has an unlocked device and a sim on any network bar EE, I would encourage them to do what I did. My phone is now running 10, has all security updates and most importantly for my situation some genuinely phone breaking issues have been resolved (no matter what I did, push notifications was off and apps such as Spotify and TuneInn was sleeping on lock)
To be honest, EE, you are embarrassing when it comes to software updates.

Mate 20 pro updated to android / emui this morning, followed by a small update after containing some fixes and another 2019 security patch.

Well there's no way I would give up my mate 20 pro over a security update I would just deem EE personally responsible for anything that may happen due to the security vulnerabilities

That's odd. I had been checking daily for the last week, checked this morning expecting the same old message, but the update was there. And my phone is a mate 20 pro. Although oddly, the update message said that there were known issues regarding some instant messaging apps, and some online bank apps that wouldn't work well. After I updated it, I checked again and found a smaller update that fixes some calling issue, and another security patch. It all went OK after the update.
