Doogee T5

I have tried an unlocked Doogee T5 phone with an EE sim and the phone just says 'no sim'

The specs are

  • 2G Network Bands
    GSM : 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz
  • 3G Network Bands
    UMTS : 900 / 2100 MHz
  • 4G Network Bands
    LTE : 800 / 1800 / 2100 / 2600 MHz
  • Does anyone have any suggestions as to why the sim isn't being recognised?

Re: Doogee T5

@paganpixels   Where did you get this device from ?   If it wasn't from EE then EE can not help you unlock it.   EE can only unlock devices that are locked on there network.

Re: Doogee T5

Hi and welcome to the Community @paganpixels

So I can try and assist, is the handset dual SIM?

If so please do try the SIM in the alternative slots.

Let me know how you get on.

Many thanks,

Lee

Re: Doogee T5

Hi @paganpixels,

Is it a brand new EE SIM card or have you used it before?

Thanks

Re: Doogee T5

Hi James, yes it's a brand new sim, I have tried it in another phone and it works...I am guessing that the problem is with the new phone. The Doogee T5 is supposed to be unlocked and work with EE!!

Thanks Karen

Hi @paganpixels

Have you tried any other network SIM in the device?

Many thanks,

Re: Doogee T5

Hi Lee

Yes I tried a TalkTalk sim, which uses the Vodafone network and the phone said 'no sim'

However I tried a friend's Vodafone sim and it worked!!

I don't wish to use Vodafone as I live in a rural area and there is very little Vodafone coverage here.

My best network provider for this area is EE!!

Thanks Karen

Re: Doogee T5

Hi @paganpixels

This is indeed very strange, it does seem like its either not fully unlocked or just not recognising certain SIM types.

I would certainly get in contact with the seller.

Many thanks,

Lee
