Can EE unblock my phone which was lost but now found.Contract with Plusnet

I lost my phone several months ago while staying at a friends and contacted Plusnet ( network provided by ee) to get phone blocked. My friend subsequently found my phone and returned it to me. I spoke with someone at Plusnet about unblocking my phone but was told it cound not be done. As EE is the network provider would they be able to unblock my phone.

Hi, 

 

The person who blocked it, via the provider who blocked it are the only ones who unblock your phone. 

 

Also if you claimed on your insurance,  than the handset belongs to them. Your insurers will know it's unblocked.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 07953 966 250 from any other phone.

EE standard opening hours are 8am to 9pm weekday, 8am to 8pm on weekends.

Thanks Northener for your advice.Just to clarify, as i asked plusnet to block phone is it they alone who can unblock it even though they were using EE as the actual network provider ?. I read somewhere that it would be the network provider responsible for unblocking the phone.

Hi there

No, it was a Life Mobile /Plusnet SIM which I believe are owned by EE.


I didn't get a replacement nor did i make any insurance claim.

Then your network provider who blacklisted the device originally will need to remove this for you.

 

If you had purchased an EE/T-Mobile or Orange phone then that would be us to remove this.
