Android 10 rolling out to EE Samsung Galaxy S9's

Hi

I've just received a large OTA update to  upgrade my EE Galaxy S9 to G960FXXU7DTAA which is the first release of Android 10 (Q) for the S9.

So if you go to Settings.. Updates and ask yours to check, you might get yours upgraded too (if you want to!). This is an EE supplied phone - not sure about all the CPW or generic phones yet.

Re: Android 10 rolling out to EE Samsung Galaxy S9's

How is this right?

EE rolling out android 10 to the S9 released a couple years ago yet not to the p30 Pro which is Huawei current flagship and less than 12 month old!

Because Samsung has built a firmware which has been approved by EE, Huawei hasn't. They are different builds with different UI so you can't compare.

Its Samsung's doing, not EE's directly. Huawei seem to lag behind.

How does that explain the fact that customers on Three O2 Vodafone and Virgin plus sim free phones received the updates last year? How is this Huawei fault?
