Access point name settings not available

I have an android XGODY Y16.

i have been using an EE sim in it.

i have a virgin sim and when I change to that one I can't access to change APN settings.

message on screen says access point name settings are not available for this user.

If I press on add sign at top it lets me edit bit will not save settings.

i would be grateful for some help

Re: Access point name settings not available

Hi @Kate7,

EE wouldn't make any changes to an unlocked phone that would stop you using it on another network.

It might be worth contacting the manufacturer of the phone to see if they can help.

Thanks

James

Re: Access point name settings not available

Hi,

If your phone and APN work on EE and not Virgin, then maybe you need to speak to Virgin or their forums?

Thanks

Re: Access point name settings not available

Thanks I did that and they just emailed me the settings but when I add them they don't save. I want to continue using my EE sim as well as my virgin one so wondered if it was an EE issue

Re: Access point name settings not available

When you switch SIMs, the APN changes accordingly. You don't necessarily have the same APN for diff networks.

Re: Access point name settings not available

Thanks. I have both of the relevant sets of settings. The issue I have is when I have my EE sim in I can access the editing access points but when I take that out and try to add APN settings with virgin sim it won't save the settings so didn't know if having an EE sim in an unlocked phone can block it from use on another network or something
