"You dont have an Apple Music membership with EE" - 3 month membership email

I've followed the instructions from 150 texts, but when I login to Apple music after creating an account in get a message appear on the app saying "You dont have an Apple Music membership with EE" then I get an email from iTunes saying:

"This email confirms your order of the following subscription with a free trial of 3 months. You are not charged for the free trial period, but when your 1 month subscription automatically renews on 16 April 2017 you will be charged £9.99 for the period."

I don't know how to have this rectified as I only signed up to use the ee 6 months free which states there would be a reminder towards the end of the 6 months but now it looks like I'll be automatically rolled into a paying subscription after 3 months which isn't fair.

Help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Re: "You dont have an Apple Music membership with EE" - 3 month membership email

Good Morning @Shenks89

Welcome to the Community 🙂

When did you upgrade or join EE?

This looks like you have subscribed through Apple directly and not the EE process.

What handset are you using?

You must cancel your membership more than 24 hours before the renewal date or it might renew.

Here is the latest information from Apple Music Membership help and support pages.

How do I cancel my membership?

Cancelling your Apple Music membership is easy.

On iOS devices, simply open the Settings app. Tap iTunes & App Store, then tap your Apple ID at the top of the screen and choose View Apple ID.

You can now choose Subscriptions and update your membership.

On Mac and PC, you can access your account information in iTunes by choosing Account > View My Account.

Then click the Manage link next to Subscriptions in the Settings section.

From here you can update or cancel your membership.

Learn more about managing your membership

Thanks

Richard

Re: "You dont have an Apple Music membership with EE" - 3 month member

Hi,

I upgraded 13/01/2017. My handset is s5 currently but s7 edge is in box until my protective case is delivered.

I did follow the instructions from the texts on 150 accordingly and having checked my EE on the app it says the 6 months add on is active.

Are you saying I'll need to cancel my iTunes subscription and reapply for the 6 months trial? I ask because I read on ee that I can not cancel and rejoin the 6 months trial. Could you clarify what action I must take to use the trial.

Kind regards.

Re: "You dont have an Apple Music membership with EE" - 3 month member

Hello @Shenks89

If the EE subscription was activated correctly when you sent the MUSIC text to 150 it will still be there.

If you cancel your current Apple Subscription the EE one will kick in when your current one ends.

Let us know hoe it goes!

Thanks - Karen. Smiley Happy

Re: "You dont have an Apple Music membership with EE" - 3 month member

Hi, I've cancelled my itunes subscription, then I've clicked the link on
the 150 text to verify my account and when I click the link i get a message
saying 'You signed up for apple music through both ee and apple to avoid
being billed for both contact ee or apple support' I have double checked
and followed the instructions to cancel my apple membership; removed card
details and I see no option to turn off automatic renewal but when trying
to contact apple support I get an error message saying We’re Sorry.

We are unable to complete your request at this time. Please try again
or come back later.

I'll try apple support again in a day or so. I'm hoping my apple
subscription is cancelled and my EE 6 month trial is active.

Thanks

Re: "You dont have an Apple Music membership with EE" - 3 month member

Good Morning @Shenks89

That sounds like the EE subscription is all set up, as it doesn't show in your subscriptions.

So there would be no option to turn off automatic renewal.
