London Underground WiFi and iPhone XS Max

Hi,

I am trying to login to London Underground WiFi network. I have sent a text message to 9527, when I try to login using the username/password they sent me, I get an error message as unable to connect. I even tried to choose EE_Auto_WiFi but without success.

I have recently joined EE and one of the main reasons was to get a good WiFi connection on the underground network.

I am using iPhone XS Max if that helps.

Thank you

Re: London Underground WiFi and iPhone XS Max

Hi @Katie_B

As per technical support conversation.

There is a problem with iOS update on all iPhone models unable to connect to London Underground WiFi Network.

Just have to wait for Apple to comeback with a new iOS update!

No other solution is available nor there is an estimated date.

@Needa: This user discussion forum can have no access to your specific account. Try raising this with CS. It does seem to be an ongoing issue with users not being able to connect to this service.

Re: London Underground WiFi and iPhone XS Max

Good Morning @Needa.

Welcome to the community Smiley Happy

Could you try going into Settings, then WiFi, the tapping on the 'i' symbol next to the EE Auto WiFi, then tapping Forget This Network?

Please also tap Forget This Network on any Virgin Media Underground WiFi services, as your phone will prioritise this service if you've connected before.

If you could then try to reconnect to EE Auto WiFi, this service should not ask you for a username or password.

Let me know how you get on.

Re: London Underground WiFi and iPhone XS Max

Hi @leanne_T @Jon_K

It seems that the problem of London Underground WiFi connection still present.

When I tried to join the EE_Auto_WiFi it asked for username and password, I have tried using the one I have received from EE but it comes up with error “unable to join network”.

I have restarted my iPhone earlier. Might that be the issue?

I have also disabled Auto-join option as it has the Privacy Notice and according to Apple advise

https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT202068

I hope this issue would be solved soon.

Re: London Underground WiFi and iPhone XS Max

Good Morning @Needa.

It shouldn't ask you for a password when you try to connect.

I'd advise tapping 'forget this network' and trying again.

Alternatively, contact our technical support team.

Re: London Underground WiFi and iPhone XS Max

Hi @Jon_K

I don’t have an option to forget this network. The only option when I press the i is to join this network and that’s when it asks for username/password.

Re: London Underground WiFi and iPhone XS Max

Hi @Needa.

Is that definitely the EE Auto WiFi option?

That one shouldn't ask you for a password.
